TEMPLE, Texas — (February 6, 2013) Scott & White Emergency Medical Services (EMS) celebrated its move into their new headquarters at 505 North Third Street which was once home to the Temple Fire Department. As a result of growing demand and the expansion of the fleet, Scott & White EMS recognized the need to better facilitate care for the community and its patients.
“Our call volumes and transports have, and continue to, increase each year, so we had to expand our capability to meet that growing demand and prepare for the future,” said Charles Pearson, EMS Director.
The 10,576 square-foot facility was built in 1964 and recently underwent more than $500, 000 in renovations which were completed in January 2013. On January 24, EMS officially moved into the building, which consists of three ambulance bays, a dispatch center, living quarters for EMS personnel, administrative offices, and accommodations for other EMS fleet vehicles.
